PostSubject: Far Cry 3 Not Destined to Return to Africa   Wed Nov 25, 2009 4:29 pm

Despite Far Cry's Creative Director, Patrick Reading, stating that the team had a commitment to Africa last year, it appears that it might not be as clean cut for Far Cry 3 as he'd initially made out.

A source from inside Ubisoft Montreal told IncGamers, that it stands a good chance that Far Cry 3 would be set "outside" of Africa. "We're still in very early development and we have no idea where it's going to be set, but I'm pretty sure that it won't be in Africa," said the source.

Of course, with them still being in preliminary stages, that is still subject to change, but IncGamers paraphrasing the source commented, "it was more than likely going to be set outside of Africa and somewhere completely new."

So what do you think guys?? has farcry 2 let you down or is this good news.

No I feel totaly let down by the devs. not the game!

I also feel that if the devs. do not aknowledge the comunity in a more broad spectrum they will fail AGAIN.

The way I see it is Ubisoft and farcry devs. Let Fcmaps and members of GD Run the show for the rest of the community leaving out a large mass of great map editors and players.

Although they had there own forums, the presance of thier own comunity Devs. were nowere to be found.

If they could possibly learn whow to deal with a comunity themselves on some sort of professional level it may work out. But I don't see that happenig!

I think I will probly stick to the COD serries. Maybe If Crisis or another map editor other than a Ubisux game comes out you will see another Dumptruck map!

I feel ya dump i do believe that the devs have no communication skills what so ever, but the devs also know that they have a large fan base so they dont give two fu*ks really because the name will sell its self.

I still say it should take place in yellowstone. It is one of the most beautiful places i have been to and there are wolves, buffalo and more, poison gas, boiling hot springs, guisers, places you could walk and break through the ground and get cooked, it's not flat, there are buildings and I think it's the largest active super volcano on earth.
